PEARL RECORDS, INC. has added ANDY ELLIOTT in the newly-created VP/Promotion role, effective immediately. ELLIOTT joins from CURB NASHVILLE where he had served as Sr. Dir./Country Promotion & Radio Initiatives until his departure late last month for a "soon-to-be-announced opportunity" (NET NEWS 3/30). Well, here it is. Congratulate ELLIOTT here.
The move reunites ELLIOTT with PEARL RECORDS GM LESLY SIMON with whom he worked at ARISTA NASHVILLE where SIMON served as VP/Promotion and ELLIOTT as Dir./National Promotion (NET NEWS 9/18/14) and Mgr./Regional Promotion (NET NEWS 12/5/11) before both he and SIMON departed in FEBRUARY of last YEAR (NET NEWS 2/24/16).
"What an honor for me to join the amazing team at PEARL RECORDS," said ELLIOTT. "To work with my longtime friend, MANDY MCCORMACK, and to team up with LESLY SIMON again is a dream come true. Speaking of dreams, I get to work with GARTH and TRISHA? Someone is going to have to pinch me, because I still can't believe it." Added SIMON, "ANDY ELLIOTT is one of the most respected promotion executives in the business. His work ethic, passion, and innovative spirit are a perfect compliment to the PEARL team, and I am thrilled to be working side by side with him again. There is no better person to represent GARTH and TRISHA in this role."
ELLIOTT's previous promotion stops include time with NEW REVOLUTION (NET NEWS 10/8/10). Prior to making the leap to the label side of life, ELLIOTT spent 20 years in radio, 18 of which were in DES MOINES, IA. ELLIOTT served as PD/morning host of then-CITADEL Country KHKI (THE HAWK)/DES MOINES until SEPTEMBER 2010 (NET NEWS 9/30/10).
