CUMULUS Country KQFC/BOISE has dropped its “NASH” on-air packaging, re-branding simply as “97.9 KQFC” with a music emphasis steeped in the '90s and early 2000s. Part of the change includes a major shuffle inside the building, starting with removal of CUMULUS syndicated “TY, KELLY AND CHUCK” in mornings.
Additionally, Country clustermate KIZN (KISSIN’ 92) on-air staffers STEVE SHANNON, TOMMY COLLINS, and PD HANK AARON move across the hall to KQFC, handling mornings, middays, and afternoons respectively, with RACHELLE FRENCH hosting nights.
Meanwhile, KQFC PM-driver RICK DANIELS moves to KIZN afternoons, with CUMULUS syndicated evening show “NASH NIGHTS LIVE” and BLAIR GARNER’s overnight show moving from KQFC to KIZN. Morning teamers CORI & JENI remain on KIZN, as does AARON, now doubling as midday host on KISSIN’. Reach AARON here.
