Arts & Crafts Signs With Caroline For U.S. Distribution

TORONTO-based independent artist services company, ARTS & CRAFTS (A&C), has inked a U.S. distribution deal with CAROLINE, while they will continue to be distributed in CANADA by UNIVERSAL MUSIC.
ARTS & CRAFTS President/Co-Owner KIERAN ROY stated, "We are thrilled to be once again working with the team at CAROLINE. ARTS & CRAFTS combines the attributes of a record label, artist management firm, event producer, merchandiser and music publisher. Founded in 2002 with the release of BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE’s "You Forgot It In People," A&C has pioneered a boutique full-service business model for the music industry. Since 2002, A&C has gone on to release more than 130 albums from more than 70 artists, earning 24 JUNO AWARDS and 10 POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE shortlist nominations.
Last SUNDAY, A&C artist GORD DOWNIE of THE TRAGICALLY HIP received 2017 JUNO AWARDS for Songwriter Of The Year and Adult Alternative Album Of The Year. Additionally, his solo album "Secret Path," received an award for Recording Package Of The Year.
A&C’s 2017 U.S. release schedule includes an album from BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, OVERCOATS (currently on tour with MAGGIE ROGER), TOM CHAPLIN, KID KOALA, DAN MANGAN, REUBEN AND THE DARK, COLD SPECKS, LOWELL, THE BELLE GAME, JEAN-MICHEL BLAIS, BERNICE and more to be announced. A&C has been the CANADIAN home to a roster of artists, including FEIST, JAPANDROIDS, BADBADNOTGOOD, TOBIAS JESSO JR., TIMBER TIMBRE, ANDY SHAUF, TEI SHI, MOBY, ROYSKOPP and more.
ARTS & CRAFTS recently announced that the company’s annual music festival, FIELD TRIP, will return to TORONTO on SATURDAY, JUNE 3rd and SUNDAY, JUNE 4th at the historic FORT YORK and GARRISON COMMON. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, this year’s festival lineup includes headliners BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, FEIST and PHOENIX, plus THUNDERCAT, PORTUGAL. THE MAN, BADBADNOTGOOD, and many more.
