CMA Announces 2017 International Award Winners

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) announced the winners of the 2017 International Awards TODAY (4/4) following several weeks packed with festivals and various Country music events throughout LONDON, DUBLIN, GLASGOW, and AUSTRALIA.
CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist CARRIE UNDERWOOD was presented with the International Artist Achievement Award, BBC RADIO 2 personality BOB HARRIS was awarded the International Country Broadcaster Award, ROB POTTS received the JO WALKER-MEADOR International Award, BRITISH COUNTRY duo THE SHIRES received the JEFF WALKER Global Country Artist Award, and RICHARD WOOTTON was awarded the WESLEY ROSE International Media Achievement Award.
"The recipients of these Awards are the ones on the front lines, continuously driving the CMA's mission to advance Country music around the world," said CMA CEO SARAH TRAHERN. CMA seeks to recognize and empower its international membership and Country Music fans globally with honors such as these and events that include the international expansion of the CMA SONGWRITERS SERIES.
