MOODY BROADCASTING is navigating the changing landscape of technology with its new campaign OPERATION NEXT. Beginning today (11/1), this capital campaign will raise money for “more MOODY radio” through new technology and expanded programming.
“By the end of the year, 65 million Americans will own iPods," said MOODY VP/Broadcasting WAYNE PEDERSON. "People aren’t tuning exclusively to traditional radio for music – there is a different demand on radio now. MOODY RADIO has been on the forefront of change in the past, and this is another opportunity for us to serve our listeners and keep current with the times. However, we need the support of our listeners to make this happen.”
The goal of OPERATION NEXT is to expand original programming, develop alternate formats for Internet radio and emerging channels on HD Radio, launch a MOODY RADIO Internet portal featuring original programming “on demand,” purchase digital editing tools and begin a staged rollout of digital HD Radio at select stations, including MOODY’S flagship station, Contemporary Christian WMBI (90.1)/CHICAGO.
