Streaming comedy audio app LAUGHLY has launched an audio livestreaming feature that will broadcast stand-up from festivals and clubs everywhere. The initial broadcast was from the WORLD SERIES OF COMEDY regionals in CHATTANOOGA on SATURDAY (4/8), with upcoming streams scheduled from the MOONTOWER COMEDY FESTIVAL in AUSTIN (4/19-22), the "Funniest Person in AUSTIN" contest (5/15), and CARMEN LYNCH performing live in NEW YORK on MAY 20th.
Founder and CEO DAVE SCOTT said, “Our goal is twofold. For audiences, no matter where you live, you can have an All-Access pass to the very best comedy shows, enjoying major stars and discovering new talents. For comics, it extends LAUGHLY’s mission to help them gain exposure and build their fan base, protecting their acts from bootlegging and jokelifting with the immediacy of the livestream.”
"As MOONTOWER continues to grow, we are thrilled to partner with LAUGHLY to help us expand the reach of our content. Laughly lets us bring the experience of the festival directly into people's cars, homes, and hands," said MOONTOWER COMEDY FESTIVAL Corporate Partnership Manager JANIE RICHARDS.
