Condolences to family and friends of Writer/Producer SYLVIA ROSE MOY who died over the weekend (APRIL 15th) at a DEARBORN, MI hospital. She was 78 years old.
BERRY GORDY wrote in his autobiography "To Be Loved," "SYLVIA MOY was directly responsible for the label keeping STEVIE WONDER."
MOY wrote, co-wrote, and or produced STEVIE WONDER's "Uptight (Everything's Alright)," "My Cherie Amour," "I Was Made To Love Her," and "Never Had a Dream Come True." In addition; MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS "Honey Chile," "Love Bug Leave My Heart Alone," THE ISLEY BROTHERS "This Old Heart of Mine" with HOLLAND-DOZIER-HOLLAND, and "It Takes Two" with WILLIAM MICKEY STEVENSON for MARVIN GAYE and KIM WESTON.
She was inducted into the SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME in 2006.
