PORTLAND-based PORTUGAL. THE MAN has teamed up with international advertising agency WIEDEN + KENNEDY and OREGON cannabis grower HIFI FARMS to release "FEEL IT STILL," a custom, packaged, pre-rolled blend designed to pair with the band’s new single of the same name. The cannabis blend will be available starting on APRIL 20th (the national stoner's holiday 4/20) at all SERRA CANNABIS and ELECTRIC LETTUCE recreational dispensaries.
Commented the band's bassist ZACH CAROTHERS, “We partnered with HIFI FARMS because they’re one of the best growers in OREGON and it’s especially important right now to raise awareness for reasonable drug laws. Also, smoking weed while listening to music is awesome.”
This blend is made up of top-shelf hybrid strains GORILLA GLUE #4 and GIRL SCOUT COOKIES. Grown indoor at the HIFI FARMS compound just west of PORTLAND out of custom living soil and under state-of-the-art LED lighting technology, the prerolls are an expression of HIFI FARMS’ credo, "Make Beautiful Things."
There’s no way to know for sure how the group landed on the name PORTUGAL. THE MAN —deemed one of the worst band names ever by NOISEY, ROLLING STONE and ESQUIRE -- but there's a pretty good chance that weed had something to do with it.
