Eye Condition Forces WAMC/Albany News Dir. Fanto To Exit

Noncommercial WAMC/ALBANY, NY-NORTHEAST PUBLIC RADIO VP/News And Public Affairs CLARENCE FANTO exits due to a vision disorder that prevents him from driving at night, according to the ALBANY TIMES-UNION. 

FANTO, the former BERKSHIRE EAGLE Managing Editor, was commuting between his home in LENOX, MA and ALBANY, a trip made more dangerous as daylight hours get shorter. Producer KATIE BRITTON replaces FANTO.
