Rumors have been swirling on MUSIC ROW for weeks, and it is now official: SONY MUSIC/NASHVILLE Exec. VP/A&R MARK WRIGHT will join UNIVERSAL SOUTH/NASHVILLE as President on JANUARY 15th.
The move will reunite WRIGHT with UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP as he'd served as VP/A&R for MCA/NASHVILLE for many years prior to joining SONY in 2003.
As first rumored on ALL ACCESS (NET NEWS 10/24), word was that U SOUTH co-Pres. TIM DuBOIS would be exiting the label. While no official announcements have been made regarding DuBOIS and co-Pres. TONY BROWN, it does appear that they will no longer be with the label. Stay tuned to ALL ACCESS as we learn more on this developing story.
