A jury in AUSTIN has given ALEX JONES' ex-wife KELLY JONES joint custody of their three children and has decided that the children, aged 9, 12, and 14 years old, should make their primary residence at their mother's home, a defeat for the controversial radio and Internet host.
The AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN reports that after the verdict, which was reached late THURSDAY (4/27) after nine hours of deliberation, KELLY JONES moved to begin the new custody arrangement with a period during which the children live solely with their mother in order to adjust, followed by increased visitation by their father, and participation in a program that aims to reverse "parental alienation," the situation in which children are turned against one parent by the other.
The case generated added publicity when ALEX JONES' on-air persona became an issue in the dispute, with KELLY JONES moving to introduce clips of JONES' incendiary commentaries and ALEX JONES arguing that his on-air personality is not his "real" personality.
