Wild 104.3 Debuts

VIVA MEDIA has debuted Hot AC KQFX (WILD 104.3) in AMARILLO, TX, which features 'party hits of the '90s to the present," with a playlist that includes RIHANNA, DRAKE, BEYONCE, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, BRITNEY SPEARS, DR. DRE, MAROON 5 and PITBULL.  

Former TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Country KATP (104.9 THE BULL)/AMARILLO on-air talent CRUZ will host afternoons from 3-7p (CT), followed by ex-CUMULUS MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KQIZ (93.1 THE BEAT)/AMARILLO on-air personality CHINO THE HUSTLER in evenings. Debuting later this month will be the "HACKER Morning Show," featuring TOMMY THE HACKER, ANGEL DEE, and JUST JOSH. The trio dominated mornings in the market for many years at TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Top 40 KXSS (96.9 KISS FM)/AMARILLO. Newcomer JESSI rounds out the on-air lineup in middays.

There will also be three new mix shows a day. DJ DANGEROUS DAN will play the biggest throwbacks on the "Midday Meltdown," at noon. At 9p, CHINO will feature the best local DJs playing the hottest hits. TOMMY THE HACKER adds his 5p "Traffic Jam" during "CRUZ In The Afternoon."

For the past month, WILD 104.3 staffers have been secretly leading the online Amarillo's Scavenger Hunt with 9,000 FACEBOOK followers and another 3,000 signed up for exclusive e-mail clues from the station and its sponsors. With the the debut of the new format, WILD 104.3 is planning its biggest Scavenger Hunt yet starting THURSDAY, MAY 4th with over $3,000 to be distributed to local hunters.
