SIRIUSXM RADIO has been hit with another telemarketing complaint, this time a largely hand-written filing in U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division of WASHINGTON by J.J. DIPPEL, currently of ABERDEEN, WA but moving to DAYTON, WA in JUNE, who alleges that the satellite service violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act from APRIL 20th to the present.
In the complaint, the plaintiff, who asserts protection under the "Do Not Call list," said that he bought a car and was told he could not opt out of a six-month free trial of SIRIUS, and that the dealer sent his personal information to SIRIUSXM, after which he received 15 calls. DIPPEL is asking for $20,000 -- four calls valued at $500, 11 at $1,000, and additional funds "in case I get more calls!"
