ALPHA MEDIA Country KYKX (105.7), Classic Country KKUS (THE RANCH 104.1), Classic Hits KOOI (SUNNY 106.5), and Regional Mexican KOYE (LA INVASORA 96.7)/TYLER-LONGVIEW, TX recently partnered with the local CBS-TV affiliate, CBS19, and the "TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH" to create TEXAS CARES. Together, the EAST TEXAS media outlets raised $211,660 for the victims of severe storms that ravaged the area in late APRIL. The TEXAS CARES initiative will ensure that the money raised goes directly to THE SALVATION ARMY to assist the tornado and storm victims of EAST TEXAS and to help rebuild communities devastated by the storms.

"After an unimaginable disaster, we were able to team up with our partners to raise over $200,000 in just one week!" said ALPHA MEDIA/EAST TEXAS Market Mgr. CARY CAMP. "We would like to thank all of our listeners who made this disaster relief fund drive a success. Helping those in need in our community is what radio is all about!"
