Clear Channel N.Y. Names Zena Burns Online PD

New Online PD For CC New York

CLEAR CHANNEL/NEW YORK Sr. VP/Programming & Marketing TOM POLEMAN announced that ZENA BURNS will be joining the cluster in the newly created position of Online PD. In this newly created role, BURNS will be responsible for development and growth of all the online content of the six CC/N.Y. stations: NEW YORK's Top 40/Mainstream WHTZ (Z100), AC WLTW (LITE 106.7), Top 40/Rhythmic WKTU (103.5 KTU),  Urban WWPR (POWER 105.1) and Classic Rock WAXQ (Q104.3), and AC WALK/NASSAU-SUFFOLK.

"CLEAR CHANNEL/N.Y. is committed to providing superior content to our audience, not just through traditional broadcast means, but also via new technology, including our station websites," stated POLEMAN. "We identified ZENA as a pioneer in the online world through her incredible work at TEEN PEOPLE. She knows what works online and how to integrate editorial and programming content with new media applications. ZENA will manage our online brands with the same level of importance as we program our stations. Her role will be on par with our other program directors."

In addition to her Online PD responsibilities, BURNS will also have national responsibility serving as Sr. Content Dir. for CLEAR CHANNEL ONLINE MUSIC & RADIO. Specifically, she will be responsible for booking artists for various online programs including Stripped, NEW!, Video Six- Pack and other features.
