Former KCBS-A/San Francisco Host, Anchor Ken Ackerman Dies At 95

Former Host Passes

Condolences to family and friends of former longtime KCBS-A/SAN FRANCISCO host KEN ACKERMAN, who died SUNDAY (5/28) at 95 of natural causes at his home in TERRA LINDA, according to the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE's BEN FONG-TORRES.

ACKERMAN started his career on a student show airing on KROY-A/SACRAMENTO, then worked at KFBK-A/SACRAMENTO before joining KCBS, then KQW, in 1942.  He hosted the overnight "MUSIC 'TIL DAWN" show in 1958-70 and remained with the station as a news anchor until his 1982 retirement but stayed aboard part-time until 1995.
