WHPT (102.5 The Bone)/Tampa’s Drew Garabo Leads An 'Apple A Day' Program

COX RADIO Talk WHPT (102.5 THE BONE)/TAMPA BAY afternoon host DREW GARABO will be throwing an APPLE A DAY party for some really  children on SUNDAY, JUNE 4th, from 10a-noon at GREAT EXPLORATIONS in ST. PETERSBURG. For the second year in a row, will be awarding an iPAD to 17 very special young children battling pediatric cancer.   

"I felt this was a great cause to undertake and continue,” he said. “Children should have to worry about what video game they want to play, or how to ace a test, not about fighting for their life. I’m hoping that we can help them keep their mind occupied at such a challenging time.”

Throughout the last month listeners and clients donated to the APPLE A DAY program; full station-supported efforts helped raise over $70,000 to give away iPads throughout the year. The children and their families will be treated to lunch from CARRABBA’s, goody bags, appearances by TAMPA BAY mascots and an exclusive morning of play at GREAT EXPLORATIONS. GARABO will then present each child with an iPAD and APPLE Geniuses will be on hand to help the children set up their iPADS.
