BOSTON RED SOX radio broadcaster JOE CASTIGLIONE will be off for the SOX' three game series against the HOUSTON ASTROS, and for the JUNE 16th game, former SOX ace ROGER CLEMENS will be sitting in alongside TIM NEVERETT on ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-F/BOSTON and the SOX radio network.
CLEMENS, who pitched for both the SOX and ASTROS in his 24 seasons in the majors, remains a controversial figure in BOSTON and in baseball, the former for bolting from the SOX for TORONTO as a free agent in 1996 and later pitching for the hated NEW YORK YANKEES, and the latter for suspected PED use that has prevented him thus far from attaining Hall of Fame status despite seven CY YOUNG Awards and one MVP Award.
