STEVE EDWARDS is returning to CHICAGO PUBLIC MEDIA News-Talk WBEZ/CHICAGO as VP and Chief Content Officer effective AUGUST 16th, the station announced TODAY (6/22).  

EDWARDS, who hosted "THE AFTERNOON SHIFT" and "EIGHT FORTY-EIGHT" and served as PD and Content Development Director before leaving in 2012 for the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO INSTITUTE OF POLITICS as Deputy Director and then Executive Director, replaces BEN CALHOUN, who announced in MARCH that he is leaving the post to return to working on "THIS AMERICAN LIFE."
