CORUS RADIO launches a new Canadian Internet streaming audio station targeting teens. BOOMBOXBABY.CA, programmed by the company's Alternative CFNY (102.1 THE EDGE) PD ALAN CROSS, features material from CORUS cable channel YTV, KIDS CAN PRESS, and other CORUS properties and airs 24/7 in eight-hour looped blocks of programming.
CORUS also has announced plans to develop a digital music download service in partnership with VANCOUVER-based HIP DIGITAL MEDIA. Launching later this month, the service will provide advertising clients with integrated campaigns featuring free music downloads; in DECEMBER 2006 it will include the rollout of radio- and TV-branded online music stores.
