BIG LOUD RECORDS has tapped JOHN D'AMICO as Dir./MIDWEST Promotion, effective MONDAY, JULY 10th. D'AMICO fills the vacancy created when ROGER FREGOSO departed the position last MONTH (NET NEWS 5/31) and joins from CBS RADIO/PITTSBURGH where he handled Mgr./Promotion duties for Country WDSY and Hot AC sister WBZZ (NET NEWS 3/24/15). He had been with the cluster since 2007.
"JOHN brings a unique skill set and passion that fits the BIG LOUD family and our artists perfectly," said BIG LOUD RECORDS President CLAY HUNNICUTT. "His radio experience and passion for Country music are second to none. We are all really excited for JOHN to get going and to continue the growth of CHRIS LANE, MORGAN WALLEN, and JILLIAN JACQUELINE." Added D'AMICO, "When [BIG LOUD RECORDS Dir./National Promotion] STACY [BLYTHE] called me to talk about the opportunity, I couldn't believe it! BIG LOUD has such an exciting group of artists, tight-knit staff, and distinguished leadership. There is something special about this label; they call themselves a family, and it truly feels that way. It is a dream come true to be a part of it." Beginning MONDAY, JULY 10th, D'AMICO can be reached at (412) 862-6539 or via email here.
Concurrently, CBS RADIO/PITTSBURGH has realigned their Promotions department following D'AMICO's departure. RON MLINERO will continue to serve as Mgr./Cluster Events, while MICHELLE BENINCASA has been named Mgr./Station Promotions for WDSY filling D'AMICO's role. Taking over for D'AMICO as Mgr./Station Promotions for WBZZ will be CELESTE DONATUCCI, who will also work with Specialist/Cluster Social Media JEFF ORAVITZ. Additionally, AMANDA SILAY has risen to Mgr./Station Promotions for Sports KDKA-F/A. "Every great manager leaves successful people in their wake, and JOHN has mentored, trained, and encouraged so many individuals who will become our cluster's leaders of tomorrow; for that, and all of his contributions to our enterprise, we thank him," said CBS RADIO/PITTSBURGH VP/Programming MARK ANDERSON. "Please join me in congratulating JOHN, CELESTE, AMANDA, and MICHELLE!"
