CBS RADIO News KYW-A/PHILADELPHIA has announced the five winners of this year's Women’s Achievement Awards Rising Star honors.  The competition is in its eighth year, and this year's honorees, chosen in a social media vote, include GATEWAY HORSES founder KRISTEN DE MARCO, THE SUPERHEROES PROJECT founder KELLY GALLAGHER, GRAND VIEW HEALTH Breast Surgical Oncologist Dr. MONIQUE GARY, MARION LUCKERS KIDNEY FOUNDATION founder LYNETTE LUCJERS, and PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART Dir. of Governmental Affairs NICOLE ALLEN WHITE.
 
“We are honored to use the influential voice of KYW NEWSRADIO to showcase the dedication and service of these five exceptional rising stars in our community,” said SVP/Market Manager DAVID YADGAROFF.  “Their efforts embody what KYW’s Women’s Achievement Awards stand for, and the very reason they were launched eight years ago.”
 
The five will be honored at a reception on JUNE 28th at the LOEWS PHILADELPHIA HOTEL in CENTER CITY, keynoted by QVC VP of Global Communications COLLEEN ROONEY and emceed by sister Classic Hits WOGL, Country WXTU, and AC WTDY-F (TODAY'S 96.5) "REMARKABLE WOMEN" host MARILYN RUSSELL, who said, "I'm blessed and lucky to be able to support extraordinary women each and every SUNDAY morning via REMARKABLE WOMEN on 98.1 WOGL, WXTU and TODAY'S 96.5, but to host KYW's Women’s Achievement Awards for the first time is really exciting.  As someone who’s advocated for women continuously since 2003, first by blog, then by radio, it's a true honor to be included."
