NY Times Co. SVP Watson To Retire

THE NEW YORK TIMES CO. SVP and Chief Legal Officer SOLOMON B. WATSON IV will retire at the end of the year, the company announced MONDAY (11/6). 

WATSON, 62, joined the company in DECEMBER 1974, served as General Counsel from 1989 to 2005, and added SVP stripes in 1996 and the Chief Legal Officer title this year. He was also the company's Secretary from 1979-1989 and 2000-2002.

The TIMES owns Classical WQXR/NEW YORK and LMAs WQEW-A/NEW YORK to ABC for RADIO DISNEY.
