The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOC. (CMA) celebrated its 40th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS in fine style last night (11/6). The festivities were held in NASHVILLE at the GAYLORD ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (the first time it was ever held at that venue) and hosted by Country's hottest duo, KIX BROOKS and RONNIE DUNN. Though the weather outside was wet and miserable, it didn't seem to dampen the spirits inside as the who's who in Country celebrated the CMA AWARDS' return home to NASHVILLE after taking place in NYC last year.
The show was packed with stellar performances, including the debut of a new single by MARTINA McBRIDE, BROOKS & DUNN's show-opening number with VINCE GILL and SHERYL CROW, JOSH TURNER sporting a great new look, and COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME inductee GEORGE STRAIT. All in all it was a great night for Country, and it appears a good time was had by all. Congratulations to the winners:
