BROOKS & DUNN were the big winners at last night's (11/6) 40th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS as their song about faith, "Believe," won in every category that it was nominated: "SINGLE OF THE YEAR," "VIDEO OF THE YEAR," and "SONG OF THE YEAR." RONNIE DUNN and CRAIG WISEMAN, co-writers of 'Believe," won awards in the song category.
The duo were also given their 14th "DUO OF THE YEAR" award in 15 tries. BROOKS & DUNN won more trophies than anyone else on last night's show and now have a total of 18 in their career, putting them in a tie with VINCE GILL for second place on the all-time awards list. The all-time leader is now RONNNIE DUNN, whose songwriting credit on "Believe" gives him 19 wins. ALAN JACKSON is in third place with 17 CMA wins.
