KVXX/Chico Returns To Alternative As KEGE '101.7 The Edge'

After switching to News-Talk four months ago, HUTH-PENNEY BROADCASTING's KVXX/CHICO, CA returns to Alternative as KEGE "101.7 THE EDGE, TODAY'S ALTERNATIVE"

KVXX rebranded its Alternative format last FALL (NET NEWS 9/20/16) from "RADIO 101.7" to "1017x" before flipping to News-Talk at the end of FEBRUARY.

OM/PD CHRIS SINGLETON told ALL ACCESS, "We received a massive public backlash and we changed the format back to Alternative, but with a twist to make it a more commercially viable format in this small saturated market.  The playlist is going to be a very Alt-Pop mixture of songs from the Alt, Top 40, and Dance charts, veering away from anything that might be considered rock, with a tight playlist of highly familiar music."
