Cox/Houston Production Dir. And National VO Star Randy Schell Dies In Skydiving Accident

Condolences to the family and friends of COX/HOUSTON Dir./Production and well know voice over pro RANDY SCHELL, who died over the WEEKEND in a skydiving accident. A second jumper, who has not been identified by authorities, was treated for a leg injury.

“There are inherent dangers, as there are with anything in life. What happened to RANDY and DENNIS, the other gentleman he was involved in the collision with, was the equivalent of stepping off the curb and not seeing the bus coming. It was fate,” friend, fellow skydiver, and morning co-host on Country KTHT (COUNTRY LEGENDS 97.1/106.9) CHUCK AKERS told KHOU-TV 11. He was one of eight people who participated in the formation skydive on SATURDAY (7/8). AKERS is also on the Board of Directors with the UNITED STATES PARACHUTE ASSOCIATION.

KHOU notes SCHELL, "was the voice of commercials for AMC’s hit TV show 'The Walking Dead' and had also done work for major brands including 20TH CENTURY FOX, MCDONALDS, GEICO, COCA COLA, NIKE, and several others."
