Man Arrested At WXKS/Boston Studios For Demanding A Song Request -- With An Axe

A local man was arrested at the MEDFORD, MA studios of iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 WXKS (KISS 108)/BOSTON after a two-hour stand-off, NBC BOSTON reports. No one was injured during the confrontation.

"A witness told NBC BOSTON that the suspect came to the area before 2p and asked where the iHEART radio section of the building was. He went into the building and approached a secretary. He requested that they play the song 'My Axe' by INSANE CLOWN POSSE and displayed a large ax.

"The man then returned to his vehicle, by which time police had arrived. He rammed a police vehicle, and then threw the axe at police, but it did not hit anyone."

The witness also saw several knives inside the car, where the man was seen drinking beer. Police then tried to negotiate with him via cellphone and through the car window. He even got out of the car once to say, "I guess you're just going to have to kill me," but when Police tried to Taser him, he was still able to get back in the car.

Eventually, he emerged from the car with his hands up, was arrested at 4p, was quickly handcuffed and taken away on a stretcher.
