AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA's MARKETPLACE has named veteran reporter and Senior Editor BETSY STREISAND as its new WASHINGTON Bureau Chief. STREISAND joined MARKETPLACE in 2007 after 21 years at U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT, where she served as Assistant Managing Editor, Senior Editor, and West Coast Bureau Chief. She began her career at USA TODAY in 1982 as a reporter in the GANNETT paper's Money section.
SVP/GM DEBORAH CLARK said, “BETSY will bring great leadership as WASHINGTON Bureau Chief, providing a distinctive lens on how MARKETPLACE covers WASHINGTON. It’s fantastic to have her and her fierce commitment to high-quality journalism in the seat at such a crucial time for our coverage.”
