John Hockenberry To Exit 'The Takeaway'

JOHN HOCKENBERRY will step down from his hosting position at NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK and PUBLIC RADIO INTERNATIONAL's "THE TAKEAWAY," reports CURRENT.ORG. 

HOCKENBERRY, the former NPR, NBC, and ABC newsman, has been with the show since its 2008 inception, originally as a morning show and later in middays.  He will leave the show after the week of AUGUST 7th; WASHINGTON Correspondent TODD ZWILLICH will fill in as host while a permanent replacement is sought.
