Chris Payne To Exit KRZQ/Reno, New Format To Debut August 1st

ALL ACCESS has learned that BIG HORN MEDIA will be flipping its newly-acquired SHAMROCK COMMUNICATIONS Alternative KRZQ/RENO, NV (NET NEWS, 7/18) to Adult Standards on AUGUST 1st.

SHAMROCK brought the Alternative format back to RENO nearly five years ago after a 19 year run ended in 2011.

KRZQ PD/MD/afternooner CHRIS PAYNE, a long-time RENO radio vet, is currently pursuing other opportunities.  PAYNE told ALL ACCESS, "My passion for radio doesn't end with the era that is KRZQ in RENO, NEVADA. I'm a passionate man who believes he'll land on his feet with another opportunity in the days ahead."
