Longtime News-Talk KTRS-A/ST. LOUIS host FRANK O. PINION has announced that his "LARGE MORNING SHOW IN THE AFTERNOON" is leaving the station after over 20 years in afternoons.

PINION (the air name of JOHN CRADDOCK) told listeners THURSDAY (7/27) in his opening segment that he will be leaving KTRS on SEPTEMBER 14th and that he resigned WEDNESDAY just before going on the air and was not fired, although, he added, "I think they (management) want me to come on and say it's an amicable parting. It's not... It's not nearly what I hoped it would be, and it certainly is coming before I wanted it to come...."  He spoke about coming to a point where he could not continue, but did not provide any details of what precipitated the decision.
