WJR-A/Detroit To Carry MSU Spartans

ABC Talk WJR-A/DETROIT will carry game coverage of MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY football and men's basketball starting in the 2006-07 season. The five-year deal also includes coaches' shows with SPARTANS football coach JOHN L. SMITH and basketball coach TOM IZZO. WJR carried the SPARTANS from 1963 to 1976; the team moved its DETROIT affiliation from CLEAR CHANNEL's Sports WDFN-A to INFINITY's Sports WXYT-A in 2001. WJR has been carrying UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN football and men's basketball as an affiliate of the U of M's radio network.
