Smitty O'Loughlin To Retire As Market Manager For Community Broadcasters/Elmira, NY

COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS LLC/ELMIRA, NY Market Manager SMITTY O'LOUGHLIN will retire from radio on AUGUST 15th. O'LOUGHLIN has been in the radio industry for 36 years, working for CUMULUS/FORT SMITH, AR; PEARSON BROADCASTING/FORT SMITH-PARIS-HOT SPRINGS-MENA, AR; JOURNAL/SPRINGFIELD, MO; CITADEL/LITTLE ROCK; and ELKHEAD BROADCASTING/FORT SMITH, AR. He later headed to ELMIRA-CORNING to work for FINGER LAKES RADIO in DUNKIRK-FREDONIA NY, then BACKYARD BROADCASTING's ELMIRA cluster in 2009 (sold to COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS in 2013). The ELMIRA cluster includes Country WPGI (100.9 THE WOLF), Classic Country WRCE-A, Top 40 WNKI (WINK 106), Rock WNGZ (WINGZ 104.9), and News-Talk WWLZ-A.
“It is bittersweet as I turn the page to a new chapter in my life,” said O'LOUGHLIN. "Broadcasting is and will always be part of my life, regardless of what retirement brings. I cherish the moments and memories with so many professionals, helping so many people throughout the years, and the personal fulfillment with all the community outreach.”
