PBS is back with a new partnership with GREATER PUBLIC to co-present the PUBLIC MEDIA DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING CONFERENCE, starting with the 2018 event in CHICAGO next JULY 11-13. PBS, which had partnered with GREATER PUBLIC to bring TV content to the PMDMC from 2012-2016 after cancelling its own PBS DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (PBS DEVCON) in 2010, chose to sit out the 2017 event in SAN FRANCISCO due to what the parties called "location and timing concerns."
In a joint release, GREATER PUBLIC President/CEO JOYCE MACDONALD and PBS Development Services SVP BETSY GERDEMAN said, "We are excited to be working side by side again to co-present this gathering, a valuable training and networking opportunity for all of public media. Finding ways to more deeply connect our work for the benefit of our entire system is essential to public media’s continued success."
