KKLZ/Las Vegas And Morning Team Gather Bottled Water For Salvation Army

BEASLEY Classic Hit KKLZ/LAS VEGAS' morning team of MIKE and CARLA has launched a campaign to collect bottled water for the LAS VEGAS community. MIKE and CARLA got word that the SALVATION ARMY was in dire need of bottled water. MIKE & CARLA's PROJECT: H2O collected over 1,200 cases of water for the SALVATION ARMY OF LAS VEGAS.

KKLZ and MIKE & CARLA rewarded people for dropping off a case of water with family four packs of tickets for KKLZ's RAIDERS PRE-SEASON VIEWING PARTY and additionally, METRO PIZZA donated 500 $50 gift cards to hand out to people donating 5 or more cases. People donating 100 cases of water got a challenge match from a local car dealership.

KKLZ PD MIKE O'BRIAN commented, "Most people think the city is just the LAS VEGAS STRIP, but behind the lights, the marquees, the celebrities, and everything else that goes on, people should know there is a true community spirit here. This was a great example of that!"

KKLZ will continue to encourage listeners to donate to the SALVATION ARMY throughout the remainder of the summer.
