Roger McCoy Leaves APD/MD/Afternoons At WKSF/Asheville

No official announcement, but ALL ACCESS has confirmed that iHEARTMEDIA Country WKSF/ASHEVILLE, NC APD/MD/afternoon personality ROGER MCCOY is no longer with the station, effective yesterday (8/14). MCCOY joined WKSF in 2013 from MEDIA ONE Country WYBL/ASHTABULA, OH (NET NEWS 6/24/13). ALL ACCESS hears his programming duties will be absorbed by iHEARTMEDIA/GREENVILLE, SC SVP/Programming KIX LAYTON, who has been overseeing ASHEVILLE since longtime WKSF PD JEFF DAVIS retired in APRIL (NET NEWS 5/26).

WKSF evening personality AARON MICHAEL will step up to afternoons, with evenings most likely handled by the company's NASHVILLE-based syndicated TIGE & DANIEL show. Meanwhile, MCCOY tells ALL ACCESS he's ready for his next radio adventure, adding, "somewhere warm would be great."
