PASSPORT APPROVED, the global new music pre-discovery show, has been picked up by one of AUSTRALIA's largest national commercial radio networks, TRIPLE MMM RADIO on its Modern Rock Digital network across several markets, including SYDNEY, BRISBANE, MELBOURNE and ADELAIDE. The two-hour weekly program will run two times a week with its selection of ground-breaking, undiscovered music from alternative music artists spanning the globe.
PASSPORT APPROVED has also confirmed that it will start broadcasting this week on Alternative JAM 88.3 FM (MANILA, PHILIPPINES); ZFM 96.2FM in HOLLAND; RADIOWAVE 96.7FM (the largest commercial radio station broadcasting across NAMIBIA in SOUTHWEST AFRICA); RADIO AMISTAD (SANTIAGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC) and WAVE FM 94.5FM in ST. LUCIA. The program also recently started broadcasting across NEVADA on NEVADA PUBLIC RADIO's KVNV (NV89)/RENO.
PASSPORT APPROVED first launched on INDIE 1031.FM/LOS ANGELES back in 2004 and quickly became a highly respected new music program that helped give artists such as ADELE, LILY ALLEN, WOLFMOTHER, LORDE, KONGOS, SHEPPARD, TOVE LO, ARCTIC MONKEYS, THE TEMPER TRAP and TEDDYBEARS, as well as hundreds of others, some of their earliest radio support in the world outside of a handful of respective plays in their local market.
The show is the brainchild of its host and music director SAT BISLA, who got his start in radio back in 1984 at such stations as KCRW/LOS ANGELES and the late KKDJ (THE EDGE) in CENTRAL CALIFORNIA.
