CBS Sports WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA’s HOWARD ESKIN may be in for the fight of his life this FRIDAY during his afternoon show (3-7p). PHILADELPHIA boxing legend and current WBC, WBA & IBF Middleweight champion BERNARD HOPKINS will square off against WIP’s afternoon host after ESKIN responded to HOPKINS’ less-than-kind words about PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Quarterback DONOVAN MCNABB.
HOPKINS made a call to the WIP Midday Show on NOVEMBER 27th. During the call he stated that he was a TERRELL OWENS fan and not a MCNABB fan because "T.O. had two screws in his leg and got 130 yards in the Super Bowl, while the Captain of the team throws up because he’s nervous."
ESKIN responded to HOPKINS’ critique of MCNABB by calling the boxer a "lap dog for TERRELL OWENS." HOPKINS heard ESKIN’s comments and sent word that he wanted to speak with him, face to face. Both men decided to settle their differences live in the WIP studios this FRIDAY during ESKIN’s afternoon show.
