ALL ACCESS has learned that URBAN ONE/HOUSTON VP/GM GARY SPURGEON is exiting the cluster today (8/25).

SPURGEON oversaw a cluster that includes Urban AC KMJQ (MAJIC 102.1), Top 40/R KBXX (97.9 THE BOX) and Top 40 KROI (RADIO NOW 92.1).

SPURGEON told ALL ACCESS, "Yes... today is my last day.  I made the team at RADIO ONE aware that I wanted to explore other options a few weeks ago, a decision that was right for me and my family. My time at RADIO ONE/HOUSTON and DALLAS has been successful and will always hold a special place in my place in my heart and career. The success that we reached in DALLAS has been some of the proudest of my career. Additionally I leave RADIO ONE/HOUSTON on a upward trajectory! I have been blessed to work with some of the top pros in both locations. I am appreciative to RADIO ONE for the confidence and the opportunity run these Major Market operations. My passion for radio is still at an all time high. Looking forward to the next adventure."
