WJR/Detroit's 'Handyman' Glenn Haege Dies At 70

GLENN HAEGE, whose "THE HANDYMAN SHOW" was an institution in DETROIT and in national syndication, has passed away after a battle with cancer at 70, reports CUMULUS News-Talk WJR-A/DETROIT.
HAEGE was on DETROIT radio for 34 years, first on WXYT-A, then on WDFN-A and WXDX-A and most recently on SATURDAYS 8-10a (ET) and SUNDAYS 7-8a on WJR, and was syndicated to 135 markets, with ROB DAVID as his longtime executive producer. He also wrote "THE HANDYMAN" column for the DETROIT NEWS for 20 years and was inducted into the MICHIGAN BROADCASTING HALL OF FAME in 2011.
