"If we're truly consumer-driven, we have to take the approach of reflecting whatever the consumer calls 'Country music.' We see it as a great positive to have a variety of sounds comprise Country; that makes us stronger as a broader format ... The present contemporary sound is not a threat but an asset, but the absence of a traditional Country sound is where we get concerned. Fortunately, there's still a lot of traditional music around."
