Could a podcast win a MARCONI Award someday? FRED JACOBS makes the argument that the EMMY Award success of HULU's "THE HANDMAID'S TALE" should give radio operators the idea that great podcast content that breaks through to a mainstream audience can be produced by radio companies in his latest post at JACOBS MEDIA's blog.
In the post, JACOBS notes that HULU CEO MIKE JACOBS' comments on the show's success sound a lot like a description of a podcast, and adds that HULU, far from being intended as a "network killer," was actually launched by a consortium of networks themselves; the model, he notes, is suggestive of what radio can do as well.
