In the radio group's continuing efforts to helped those impacted by the recent hurricanes, ALPHA MEDIA/SALT LAKE CITY stations Spanish Oldies KTUB, Latin KDUT-FM hosted a one-day donation drive that raised over $4,300 for the American Red Cross and local relief efforts.
“The devastation is unimaginable and we, as a nation and local community hope to provide some relief to those in need,” ALPHA MEDIA/SALT LAKE CITY Market Manager MARY LEE ROBINSON said. “There is a MARTIN LUTHER KING quote: ‘Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?’ A small gesture can help in immeasurable ways. It’s truly remarkable to see humanity at its best and the heart’s capacity to give.”
Meanwhile, ALPHA MEDIA/WEST PALM BEACH stations News WFTL, Sports WMEN, HAC WRMF, AC WEAT, Country WIRK, Urban AC WMBX and Hip-Hop WMBX-HD 2 delivered food from SUBWAY and DUNKIN' DONUTS to hundreds of linemen working to restore power. The cluster is also planning a 10-day campaign and supply drive to support their fellow Floridians in the FLORIDA KEYS. Once the supplies have been collected, the stations plan to drive the supplies to the KEYS.
“While HURRICANE IRMA left a path of destruction behind, there’s nothing that can stop our SOUTH FLORIDA community from coming together in a time of need," ALPHA MEDIA/WEST PALM BEACH Market Manager ELIZABETH HAMMA said. "We are proud and honored to play a small role in helping those who are helping us.”
