The GOVERNMENT OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment is launching its own radio station on HOWARD UNIVERSITY's WHUR-HD4 channel.
"DC RADIO" began programming TONIGHT as part of the department's "202CREATES" arts initiative with an eclectic slate of programming including Mayor MURIEL BOWSER's weekly "THE DISTRICT MINUTE," the syndicated WILL DOWNING's "THE WIND DOWN" and "PUTUMAYO WORLD MUSIC HOUR," and local shows focusing on music, the arts, and local affairs. "ON THE AIR WITH ELEANOR HOLMES NORTON," hosted by D.C.'s delegate to Congress, is also on the schedule as a public affairs offering.
