NIELSEN informed clients TODAY (9/20) that it will release HOUSTON SEPTEMBER Week 3 PPM weeklies data as previously scheduled on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th. NIELSEN had previously withheld release of preliminary Week 2 and Week 3 data following HURRICANE HARVEY for HOUSTON to MEDIA MONITORS.
The company issued the following statement, "We have determined that sample met NIELSEN’s quality standards after performing statistical tests and analysis on the HOUSTON SEPTEMBER Week 3 PPM data. The HOUSTON Metro and DMA in-tab delivered a 97 index to the in-tab target (DDI) in Week 3, compared with a 111 DDI for the week prior to HURRICANE HARVEY. Our statistical tests determined that the distribution of the in-tab sample for Week 3 by sex/age, race/ethnicity, and geography was not materially different than prior weeks." In addition, SEPTEMBER Week 4 weeklies and the SEPTEMBER MONTHLY data will rollout as scheduled on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th.
