ALL ACCESS extends sympathies to family, friends, and colleagues of singer/songwriter MARK SELBY, who passed away YESTERDAY (9/18) following a battle with cancer. He was 56.
SELBY penned a string of hits that included chart-toppers and album cuts for the DIXIE CHICKS, JO DEE MESSINA, TRISHA YEARWOOD, WYNONNA, LEE ROY PARNELL, KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD, and more. He is survived by his wife and songwriting partner, TIA SILLERS, with whom he penned many hits, including LEE ANN WOMACK's "I Hope You Dance," which is among the songs set to be honored at TONIGHT's (9/20) "NSAI 50 YEARS OF SONGS" event at NASHVILLE's RYMAN AUDITORIUM (NET NEWS 4/7); see SILLERS discuss that song here. Memorial service plans are currently pending, but in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MUSICARES in memory of SELBY.
