Pop star RICKY MARTIN has launched a fundraiser on YOUCARING to support the victims of hurricane MARIA in PUERTO RICO.
"PUERTO RICO is going through one of the toughest times in its history, and the island desperately needs us," said MARTIN. "Hurricane MARIA left devastating damage and affected hundreds of thousands - that's why I decided to create this fundraiser to help provide basic needs and rebuild all that was lost. My donation of $100,000 is already in, and I hope I can count on your support."
"If there's anything we learned from recent natural disasters like hurricanes HARVEY, IRMA and MARIA, it's that government support is just not enough and will likely never be," said YOUCARING CMO MALY LY. "People still need to rely on family, friends, and their broader communities for material and emotional support, and online crowdfunding provides a way for these communities to rally for causes in an organic way."
Donate to RICKY MARTIN's fundraiser, as well as other fundraisers started by athletes and artists by visiting YOUCARING's PUERTO RICO Relief Center.

What's foremost on my mind and many others' is trying to figure out the best way to help. I urge you to support and donate to the efforts of the first lady of PUERTO RICO, BEATRIZ ROSSELLÓ," LOPEZ continued. "Together, we can help rebuild our island and THE CARIBBEAN."
