JACK FM hires its first deejay, as DELPHINE BLUE became host of CBS RADIO Adult Hits WCBS-F (JACK FM)/NEW YORK's "Acoustic Sunrise" on OCTOBER 29. The show airs SUNDAYS from 7a-noon and plays acoustic versions of songs played on JACK FM.
A 20-year NEW YORK radio vet, BLUE began her career on WLIR, and her program "SHOCKING BLUE" debuted on WBAI the following year. Before moving to SIRIUS' Sirius Disorder and Left of Center, BLUE was a fulltime air personality on FORDHAM UNIVERSITY's WFUV.
"From the very beginning of JACK FM and throughout the launch of 'Acoustic Sunrise,' we've differentiated ourselves from other stations by never having intrusive DJs, just knowledgeable hosts who enhance the experience for our listeners," PD BRIAN THOMAS said. "Listeners have told us they’d welcome the addition of someone to tell them what artists they’re listening to during 'Acoustic Sunrise' because they’re not always instantly recognizable."
