WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO's THE IDEAS NETWORK has named an interim replacement for the retiring JOY CARDIN, announcing the launch of "THE MORNING SHOW WITH KATE ARCHER KENT" for 6-9a (CT) weekdays starting MONDAY (10/2). KENT, a fill-in at WPR since last year, previously worked at RED RIVER RADIO in SHREVEPORT.
"Every day is a new territory to explore -- bringing together thoughtful guests and engaged listeners who speak from the heart," said KENT. "This morning roundtable will set the tone for our day and help us to ask the relevant questions."
"There's a lot going on in the world right now, and weekday mornings are an important time of day," said THE IDEAS NETWORK Director SHERYL GASSER. "We're committed to continuing to give morning listeners the conversations and news they need to be informed and successful in their everyday lives."
CARDIN is retiring after 14 years hosting her show at THE IDEAS NETWORK; a new show to take the morning slot on a permanent basis is expected to be launched next year.
